How to clean Whole fish before
Cooking
Hello everybody I am going to tell you how to gut and clean
fish before cooking so you get to learn how easy it is to clean and gut fish. Cutting
fish is a little bit messy but once you wash your hands afterward it’s all
done.
Step 1
The first step is to descale the fish
Basically, the scowls always run from the head down the towel to make the fish
aerodynamic in the water
so with a knife just rub the fish against the scales and you can see there’s a slight line there where some of these scales have been removed, to be honest with a mackerel there are not really the many scales
so just take your time and run the knife against the scales so that once’s done you’ll find some more scales that are a sea breeze a gray Sebring the scales are a lot longer and you’ll notice when the fish there’s more of a distinctive line there do the other side carefully with some of their fins can be quite sharp but if you hold it by the towel no real problem there’s all the scales just rinse that off.
Step 2
Okay, guys how to gut the fish here we have a mackerel and you’ll see there’s a vent at the back
basically, place your knife in the vent and just run along until you get to the gill plate, and then just take your knife in and scrap away the gut
you’ll notice that there’s a black line along the spine that is just a blood cavity so are you testing to use the thumb just burst that and once you ring it rinse it under the tap it’s nicer and clean
